The First Step of Student and Community Synergy in Village Empowerment

"Kampung Wisata Pakel, Barokah Barokah Barokah!!", is a jargon of activities as a trigger for enthusiasm during the event which took place on Sunday, November 20, 2022. The Social and Community Division of the Student Executive Board in collaboration with SAHARA UKM (Friends of Isy Karima Student Volunteers) and Plantery UKM together with the community of Pakel Village RT 02 carried out the Pakel Greening Movement (GPP) in order to re-green the barokah pakel tourist village.

Afforestation activities are not only limited to clean actions but also planting and rearranging ornamental plants on village roads. The pakel village community, represented by the rt chairman and PKK mothers, admitted that they really benefited from this activity, because the greening of the village had stopped for a long time.

With this activity, the community gets a new spirit to empower the village again after a long period of stalling. This activity is the first activity that is the first step in the form of collaboration between STIQ Isy Karima students and the community in the context of village empowerment. The maintenance of village plants will be carried out by female students and the community on a scheduled basis, while the harvest from the crops will be processed and become the village PKK treasury.
