God has the nature of Mercy, Mercy consists of the three letters râ', hâ', and mîm. According to Ibn Faris in Maqâyîs al-Lughah every Arabic word has its roots in three The letters Râ', Hâ', and Mîm have the basic meanings of 'tenderness, subtlety and love honey'. Whereas according to al-Ashfihani in Mufradât Alfâdzh al-Qur'an, the word grace means 'gentleness that demands doing good to the cherished'. Sometimes grace is just special means 'tenderness'. Sometimes it also just means 'do good'.
Basically that mercy (affection) comes from the Most Merciful God (al-Rahmân al-Rahim). God is the source of grace (affection) spread in nature this universe. God obliges for Himself the nature of mercy (compassion). Allah said in Sura Al-Anʻam:12, which means :"Say (Muhammad), "Whose is in heaven and on earth?" Say, "God's." He has established (the nature of) love said to himself. He will indeed gather you on the Day of Judgment which no doubt about it. People who harm him, they don't faith."
In Shahîh al-Bukhârî through the path of Abu Hurairah, the Great Prophet Muhammad once stated, On the day of its creation, God created 100 (one hundred) mercy (affection). 99 mercy (affection) is still held by Allah swt to keep. Only only one mercy spread by God for all his creatures.
While according to Shahîh Muslim of Salman al-Pharisee, that one grace spread on the face of the earth so that it is enough for a mother to love her child and all good creatures humans, birds, all kinds of animals and jinns can love each other. Then 99 mercy is deliberately withheld by Allah swt to give mercy to all His servants on the doomsday.
There is one story who tells how great God's affection for His servant is told of Dzin Nun al-Mishri r.a., he said:
One day I was walking by the river Nile, suddenly I saw a land scorpion (ketonggeng : Java) medium crawl. Then I took a stone to kill him, but he ran away with fast. I stopped by the Nile, suddenly there was a frog popping up to The surface of the water, then the scorpion jumped on its back. The frog then swam carrying the scorpion all the way to the opposite bank of the river.
When the frog gets to the mainland, The scorpion got off his back and ran away. I followed behind him. It turned out that the scorpion was heading somewhere where there was a man who slept drunk, while in front of him was a poisonous snake that will peck at it. So the scorpion ran away quickly while jumping on the snake's head and sting it with a single sting. And the serpent died instantly.
Then I woke up the man From his sleep, he rose, shocked in fear. When he saw a snake, it turns away and runs away. Then I asked him: "Don't be afraid, you are safe from the danger!" I also told the story of what happened.
The man lowered his head, then raised towards the sky and said: "O my Lord, it is like this You do to those who are disobedient to You, then how do You treat to those who obey Thee. For glory and Thy majesty, I will not disobey Thee after this forever."
Then males It turned away in tears and uttered the verse:
~ O person who sleep, while the Most Great Allab guards it, from all the bad dangers that creeping in the dark.
~ How to eyes can sleep of a King (Allah), whose all his glorious pleasures has come from you.
From this story We can learn many wisdoms or lessons, which are with love dear God to His servant, God save the servant from death and giving him the opportunity to repent and live life again.
Therefore We invite dear readers, to always be grateful for everything ikmat that God gives us, and remains always istiqomah in goodness because God's affection is so great to His servant who does sin, especially if we always do good and forsake sin?
