Students Win the Champion in Musabaqoh Hifdzil Qur’an in Central Java

On Saturday, July 1, 2023 two delegations of STIQ Isy Karima students won the championship in the 5 Juz Musabaqoh Hifdzil Qur’an competition in Central Java held by the UMS Qur’an Lovers Student Activity Unit in the framework of the seventeenth MPQ milad. The competition was held at J Seminar Building 2 FKI Muhammadiyah University Surakarta.

From a total of forty-three MHQ participants, Yashilla Rahma, a 2nd semester student won first place and was followed by Nirmala Dian Kartika, 4th semester, who won second place. ‘Ala kulli hal wa bi ni’matillah, the excellence of Isy Karima al-Qur’an College students is one of them in the tahfid al-Qur’an program which is a requirement for undergraduate graduation. However, student participation in tahfidz competitions and the like is still somewhat lacking. Even so, this is actually one form of student effort in maintaining sincerity as huffazh al-Qur’an.

Student participation this time, Alhamdulillah, produced the expected results and aims as a form of preaching the Qur’an and enlivening the syi’ar of Islam in the midst of the challenges of the times and the rise of the tradition of memorizing the Qur’an in society.
