STIQ Isy Karima Collaborates with SLBN Surakarta in Accelerating the Da’wah of the Qur’an for Disabilities.

Alhamdulillahirabbil ‘alamin in order to realize the acceleration of preaching the Qur’an to the community, STIQ Isy Karima collaborated with the Surakarta State Special School on June 6 to 8 in the Sign Language Workshop and Braille Reading and Writing. Workshop activities are packaged in such a way as to make it one of the series in learning microteaching courses for 6th semester students of STIQ Isy Karima.

The workshop was held in a lecture room with several materials including, introduction to education for children with disabilities, braille alphabets and hijaiyyah and hijaiyyah sign language and BISINDO. On the last day, the team from SLBN Surakarta brought in several students to communicate directly with students. In addition to measuring the level of mastery of students to the material that has been delivered, meeting with deaf students is the first practice of students to measure the knowledge of deaf students to religious knowledge.

The teaching and preaching of the Quran, especially to people with disabilities, has reached a point where du’ats need to really move to reach them. As stated by the team of teachers from SLBN Surakarta, that the disabled students they teach have the same rights as other normal people in getting religious teaching, especially the Qur’an. Therefore, as a lighthouse of Qur’anic da’wah in Indonesia, STIQ Isy Karima tries to equip students with this workshop as a provision for da’wah in the fields of heterogeneous society.
