RABBANI YOUTH FOR THE FUTURE OF THE COUNTRY

Youth is a time of fiery – fire, a time of self-discovery, a time of proving existence, a time when the spirit is still stirring, and a time when the soul desperately wants the glitter of the world. So this youth is a time of generational formation, if a nation has a good generation of youth, then it is also good for the nation, but if a nation has a generation of corrupt youth, then the nation is also damaged. Because it is undeniable that the wheel of life will continue to turn, generations will continue to change, and young people are the key to a generation.

With so many the virtues of this time at a young age, the religion of Islam also puts youth as a favor that will one day be accounted for, in a hadith Prophet sallallahu 'alaihi wa sallam said,

لاَ تَزُولُ قَدَمُ ابْنِ آدَمَ يَوْمَ الْقِيَامَةِ مِنْ عِنْدِ رَبِّهِ حَتَّى يُسْأَلَ عَنْ خَمْسٍ: عَنْ عُمُرِهِ فِيْمَا أَفْنَاهُ، وَعَنْ شَبَابِهِ فِيْمَا أَبْلَاهُ، وَمَالِهِ مِنْ أَيْنَ اكْتَسَبَهُ وَفِيْمَا أَنْفَقَهُ، وَمَاذَا عَمِلَ فِيْمَا عَلِمَ

"It won't shift the legs man in the doomsday from his Rabb's side so asked about five things: about his age in what he used, about his youth in what he was spend, about his property from which he earns and in what he spends, and about what he practiced from what he knew (science)."

Our age will be questioned for anything we use it in the world. Youth belongs to age, but youth is asked and held accountable again specifically, for whatever the energy is used during youth. Because That is, we really have to pay attention to youth, especially young people is the next generation of the ummah of the last days.

Then What are the characteristics of the young men of the last days who are ready to continue the relay the struggle of the Islamic ummah? 

First : the young man who grows up in obedience

The Prophet sallallahu 'alaihi wa sallam Said

سَبْعَةٌ يُظِلُّهُمُ اللَّهُ فِى ظِلِّهِ يَوْمَ لاَ ظِلَّ إِلاَّ ظِلُّهُ … وَشَابٌّ نَشَأَ فِى عِبَادَةِ رَبِّهِ …

"There are seven classes of human beings who will be shaded by God in shade (His Arsy) on a day for which there is no shade (altogether) except for His shade: … And a young man who grew up in worship (obedience) to God…"

Youth who spends his energy in obedience to Allah Azza wa jalla will Getting shade in the last day, the day when the husband forgets his wife, mother forgot about her child, and everyone was just busy thinking about her safety alone. The young man who grows up in obedience to God will get shade from Him.

So should young men spend their energies in obedience, drawing closer to God, filial piety to both parents, attending assemblies of knowledge, memorizing the Qur'an, practicing the As Sunnah, holding social services, so that he always uses his time to do activities the positive. For if he does not use his time in Positive activities will then be filled with negative activities.

Ibn Qayyim Al-Jauziyah rahimahullah say

وَنَفْسُكَ إِنْ أَشْغَلَتْهَا بِالحَقِّ وَإِلاَّ اشْتَغَلَتْكَ بِالبَاطِلِ

"If you're not preoccupied with things The good ones, will definitely be busy with vanity things"

Second: Making Friends On the Basis of Devotion

Friend very influential in shaping the character of a person, a friend who sholeh will always remind us of Allah Azza wa jalla, reminding we are about heaven and hell, reminding us not to be devoted to The Creator, and the friend who can someday intercede for us with God's permission to stay out of hell and go to His heaven.

The Prophet sallallahu 'alaihi wa sallam said,

المرء على دين خليله، فلينظر أحدكم من يخالل

"A human being will follow a friend's religion near it, then should one of you see who is made his close friend"

In fact, a close friend even if his friendship is not based on devotion to God, he will later in the end day will be the enemy.

Allah Subhanahu wa ta'ala Said:

ٱلۡأَخِلَّآءُ يَوۡمَئِذِۢ بَعۡضُهُمۡ لِبَعۡضٍ عَدُوٌّ إِلَّا ٱلۡمُتَّقِينَ 

"The close friends of the day were partly become enemies to some others except those who are devout." (QS. Az Zukhruf : 67)

Such is the kind of young man who is ready continuing the relay of the Islamic ummah's struggle in these last days. May Allah making the youth of this nation, became the generation of Rabbani whom He ridhoi so that they would not only sholeh for themselves, but also to be a mushlih generation, capable of providing solutions to the problems of the ummah in these last days.

 ….. رَبَّنَا هَبۡ لَنَا مِنۡ أَزۡوَٰجِنَا وَذُرِّيَّٰتِنَا قُرَّةَ أَعۡيُنٖ وَٱجۡعَلۡنَا لِلۡمُتَّقِينَ إِمَامًا

"……. O our Lord, bestow upon us our wives and our descendants as comforters of (our) hearts, and Make us priests to the devout. (QS. Al – Furqon : 74)
